Andrew brings over two decades of experience in the Australian Army and law enforcement to his role as a research assistant within the Flinders University “Open Door” initiative. His PhD research examines the Australian veterans’ non-profit sector and its role in supporting veteran wellbeing post-service. Andrew has also contributed to veteran policy through co-authored reports for the Department of Veterans’ Affairs and Veterans SA. His work within Open Door is informed by his lived experience and aims to enhance understanding of veteran support systems and inform improvements to safeguard their wellbeing.
