As Director of the Flinders University “Open Door” research initiative, Ben leads work focused on the wellbeing of veterans and their families. A veteran himself, his research within Open Door investigates critical areas including veteran suicide and the impact of military service. He leads the national study on institutional abuse in the ADF and conceived the Military Academic Pathway Program (MAPP) for veterans at Flinders University. Ben’s leadership of Open Door aims to directly inform efforts to improve veteran wellbeing.
