Dr Margaret Hutchison is a lecturer contributing to the Flinders University “Open Door” initiative. Her research examines the policies and practices of care for Australian veterans and the cultural legacies of war, with a current focus on the history of veteran suicide in Australia. Dr Hutchison is a Chief Investigator on an Australian Research Council Discovery Project investigating the historical and social dimensions of veteran suicide, directly aligning with the aims of Open Door.
